The appearance of the solution is fully customisable using the Skinning and Colour Palette options.

Skinning

The Skins functionality provides the necessary options to customise the appearance of the solution.

Click Setup, System then Skins to access the Skins screen.

Previously saved skins are displayed under the Existing Skins header, and can be filtered using the search bar beneath.

Click the Edit icon to modify the saved skin, or the Copy icon to create a copy of the skin and open the editor. To delete a skin, click the X icon.

To create a new skin, click New and enter the required skin name in the Name textbox. Change the area of functionality to customise using the Page dropdown list.

After selecting a page, each part of the screen can be altered by clicking the relevant section of the screen and filling in the resulting properties in the menu that is displayed. Enter colours using hex codes or by selecting from the popup colour picker.

Click Toggle Popup to configure the popup skinning options and click Base to change the base values that apply throughout the solution.

Click Save to save any changes, or click the up arrow to reveal further Save options. Click Save and Set as Default Skin to set the skin as the default option for all users, or click Save and Set as Current Skin to change the preferences for the current user. Click Cancel to discard any changes.

Skins can be applied at User, Group or System level.

Colour Palette

Colour palettes are used to create a default colour scheme that is applied to individual field values. A colour palette can be set at User, User Group, Index or Search Engine level.

Navigate to the Colour Palette screen by clicking Setup, Extensions then Colour Palette. All currently configured Colour Palettes will be displayed, and clicking New will allow the configuration of a new Colour Palette.

Enter a name in the Name textbox. This name must be unique.

Use the Index drop-down list to select the required Index, and then select the required field from the Display Field drop-down list.

All available values from the chosen field will be revealed below. Enter a hex code or use the popup colour picker to select the required colour. Use the empty box and the Add button at the bottom of the list to add custom values.

Click Create Colour Palette to complete the process.
