06b. Cloud File System
The Cloud File System functionality allows users, with the relevant permissions, to import files from a third-party cloud storage account into the solution. This negates the requirement for local file storage under certain circumstances.
To setup the functionality, navigate to the Cloud File System screen by clicking Setup, Extensions then Cloud File System. All currently configured files systems will be displayed, and clicking New will allow the configuration of a new file system.
Enter a name in the Name textbox. This name must be unique. Select the required option from the Type drop-down list to reveal the relevant options.
Azure Data Lake
Enter the Account Name and Account Key. Once entered, click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
The HDFS Host, HDFS Port, HDFS User, HDFS Password and HDFS User Group fields must all be completed to access this file system. Once entered, click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)
The S3 Access Key and S3 Access Secret fields must be completed to access this file system.
Navigate to the Amazon AWS Management console to generate the required information for the CXAIR server. Once entered, click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Google Drive
Click Authorise Google Drive to open the login page in a separate tab. Complete the relevant authorisation steps and the Google Drive Authorised text will appear under the Type drop-down list. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Google Drive Domain
Enter the Service Account ID, the Account ID and the Domain. Then upload your Google Drive Domain certificate.. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Dropbox
Click Authorise Dropbox to open the login page in a separate tab. Complete the relevant authorisation steps and the Dropbox Authorised text will appear under the Type drop-down list. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Microsoft OneDrive
Click Authorise OneDrive to open the login page in a separate tab. Complete the relevant authorisation steps and the OneDrive Authorised text will appear under the Type drop-down list. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Sharepoint
Add the Username, Password and Domain for the Sharepoint server. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Samba
Enter the Samba URL, Samba Username and Samba Password. Click Create Cloud File System to complete the process.
Accessing the Cloud File System
When uploading a file, such as when uploading a CSV file in the Database Data Source Wizard screen, use the directory drop-down list to select the configured file system. The files will then be visible and can be uploaded.
