Rather than manually creating the separate Data Sources, Data Source Groups and resulting Indexes separately, the Wizards provide configuration options to create the relevant Indexes and structures from a single screen.

There following options are available from the Wizards drop-down list:

Database Data Source Wizard

The Database Data Source Wizard contains the options to create Index structures from a number of database types along with advanced options such as procedural correction and derived dates.

Amalgamated Data Source Wizard

Using the Amalgamated Data Source Wizard, two or more existing Indexes can be joined based on a number options to de-duplicate and filter the resulting output.

Aggregation Wizard

The Aggregation Wizard allows the creation of an optimised version of an existing Index to improve system-wide data query performance. When completed, a Data Source Group and Index is created.

Google Analytics Wizard

Using the Google Analytics Wizard allows Indexes to be built from the wide range of available Google dimensions and metrics.

Basket Analysis

Basket Analysis is a premium licence option that groups, ranks and transforms transactional data into a format that can be easily used to analyse spending and usage patterns across large data sets.

Items relating to a single transaction or event are grouped together and stored as a ‘basket’. Multiple baskets can be analysed and compared to identify frequently recurring items.

Without Basket Analysis enabled, a single basket is comprised of multiple items or instances which require individual rows. Using Basket Analysis, multiple instances appear on a single row and individual customer spending can be tracked by grouping multiple items in a single basket or transaction. This provides insight into what products are being purchased, when, in what quantity and in what combination.

Unstructured Data Source Wizard

The Unstructured Data Source Wizard provides the options to create Index structures from unstructured directories and URLs.

Mail Data Source Wizard

Using the Mail Data Source Wizard, the contents of an email server can be Indexed.

Quick Start Wizards

Click Setup, Extensions then Quick Start Wizards to access the Quick Start Wizards screen containing a number of options that have been designed to offer fast access to system-wide configuration options in a single screen.

This includes rapid deployment options where Index components can be built from a single database or from CSV files contained in a single directory, global changes to letter casing and Index naming conventions and a further options to perform global administrative tasks.
