03. Reporting

There are a number of reporting techniques available to users with the following functionality:

Query

CXAIR allows users to explore their data using ‘natural language’ queries as well as rapidly filtering results by clicking the on-screen values or generating different Filters. By making the process of querying simple, the user can retrieve the data they require without having to rely on running pre-canned reports or SQL queries.

Filters

Using Filters allows users to build sophisticated search queries that will return more accurate results while allowing ad hoc customisation of reports for both users and Report Viewer users. Filter groups provide a customisable layer of default filters that affect all reports, indexes or users.

Crosstab

Crosstabs provide users with the tools to nest multiple fields as rows or columns, select multiple measures and calculations, apply traffic lighting and field formatting on any data and produce tables of results. Charts are easily added alongside Crosstabs by selecting from a range of pre-defined chart types.

Venn

The Venn diagram functionality enables users to quickly and easily build complex search terms by manipulating visual representations of data, known as sets. By positioning the sets so they overlay, relationships can be established to allow a broader understanding of the underlying data.

Pages

Pages utilises a drag-and-drop interface to allow the free-form positioning of various report components, providing a platform to easily build highly visual dashboard-style reports.

Model

Through statistical modelling, further insight can be derived from existing Indexes to predict the future value of a field, create association rules to determine relationships between data items and cluster data by establishing patterns.
