# 05. Design Mode

Design mode is intended for explicit Pages report creation and modification requests. The assistant can inspect the current report, make supported changes, render the page, and take a screenshot to verify the result.

## Supported design activities

* Inspect pages, nested layouts, layers, cells, and report elements.
* Add or update crosstabs, charts, HTML, text, and other supported elements.
* Style an individual element or restyle a report.
* Add, remove, reorder, or move pages and layers.
* Manage containers and tiled cells.
* Copy, link, or remove report elements.
* Render the current page and capture a verification screenshot.

Check filters, calculations, drill actions, layout at target screen sizes, and accessibility.

**Design mode can modify the current report.** Use it only when you intend to make changes. A request to analyse data does not require Design mode.
